Giovanni—Geospatial Interactive Online Visualization and Analysis Infrastructure

This web-based application provides way to visualize, analyze, and access vast amounts of earth science remote sensing data without having to download the data. Giovanni is an acronym for Geospatial Interactive Online Visualization ANd Analysis Infrastructure.

The app's remote sensing data enables a diverse range of applications across disciplines. Available measurements range from aerosol indices to wind, and include air temperature, carbon, flooding, heat flux, particulate matter, precipitation, runoff, sea surface temperature, soil moisture, streamflow, surface temperature, and water storage.
