USFS Climate Gallery - Changing Alaskan Shorelines and Resources StoryMap

From sea level rise to glacial retreat, the southeast Alaskan shoreline is undergoing dynamic changes—sometimes at unprecedented rates. Scientists at the Pacific Northwest (PNW) Research Station are working to predict future shoreline change and what it will mean for certain coastal habitats and species in southeast Alaska. The StoryMap provides information on why and how the southeast Alaskan shoreline is changing, along with the resources and topography that will be impacted by these changes.
